tonight was spent with card games and book stores and french fries and boys. i bought the virgin suicides (the book). i think i'm going to have a depressing book marathon tomorrow - the virgin suicides, the bell jar, the god of small things, and whatever else falls into my lap.
also, i'm breaking in the gouache paints i got for christmas. i love them so far. they're almost exactly like watercolors, but more opaque. richer. i'm painting a girl, nothing terribly special, just sweet. sugar and spice.
